In The Spotlight - Ep 4

digital:works Season 18 Episode 4

This series is called “In the Spotlight” an oral history of live musicians working in London’s west end. It explores the varied working lives of freelance musicians (some going back to the 1940s) working in the nightclubs, the jazz and rock clubs, restaurants, tea dances and the function scene as well as in the theatres in central London.

In this fourth and final episode musicians tell us about their work in West End theatre and changes in the live music scene. They tell about the difficulties and fears as well as the joys of their work.

This podcast was produced by digital works.
